A series of visual art created in response to the murder of George Floyd in 2020. In order to process the horror of this event, These works were generated using timed (8:46) uninterrupted mark-making on grocery bags using abstract marks, words spoken by Floyd during his murder and words relevant to the murder exploring the physical and emotional labors of systemic racism and the need for change. The series was featured at the Black Creativity Juried Art Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in 2021, Lys Arts in 2022 and the Haitian-American Museum of Chicago in 2023. Series is being sold as a full-set only and is available for viewing at the Haitian-American Museum of Chicago until August 30, 2023.
